Urgent preparations are underway for the new school year 2025-2026.

Currently, educational institutions are focusing on renovating school buildings and improving facilities in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year.

Preparations for the new school year involve many tasks that must be completed during the summer break. Therefore, as soon as the 2024-2025 school year ended, educational institutions began preparing for the 2025-2026 school year. Specifically, educational institutions proactively coordinated with local authorities to review the number of children by age group to carry out enrollment at the beginning of each level; they also urgently repaired and upgraded classrooms and auxiliary facilities. Many construction projects have been completed, and some are being urgently completed, ready to serve students at the beginning of the new school year.

At Hoa My Dong Primary School (Hoa My commune), the contractor has just completed and handed over to the school 6 functional rooms (computer room, music room, art room, library, foreign language room, and medical room) at the main facility in Phu Nhieu village.

Mr. Le Van Tuong, Principal of Hoa My Dong Primary School, shared that in addition to the main campus, the school has four branch campuses located in Phu Thuan, Van Loc, Xuan My, and Lac Chay villages, with a total of nearly 1,000 students. For the 2025-2026 school year, the school will have 32 classrooms, 3 computer rooms, 3 English rooms, a music room, an art room, a multi-functional room, 2 libraries, a medical room, and a covered sports field...

Thanks to the new investment in 6 functional rooms at the main campus, the school can ensure adequate facilities and equipment to meet the teaching and learning needs of students.

Nguyen Hue No. 2 High School (Tuy Hoa Ward) is upgrading its schoolyard in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year.

These days, relevant units are urgently completing the drainage system and 9 functional rooms for Nguyen Hue No. 2 High School (Tuy Hoa Ward). Mr. Le Thanh Phuong, Principal of Nguyen Hue No. 2 High School, said: “In previous school years, the school had enough classrooms (24 rooms) but lacked functional rooms according to the 2018 General Education Program, so implementing the teaching and learning plan faced certain difficulties. In the 2025-2026 school year, the newly built, modern functional rooms will help students have more interesting and complete learning experiences. The school will strive to innovate teaching and learning methods to maximize resources in facilities and gradually improve the quality of education throughout the school.”

In addition to focusing on preparing facilities, schools also pay special attention to reinforcing students' knowledge; strengthening connections between schools, families, and local authorities to fulfill the task of caring for children's education.

From the beginning of June 2025 until now, Hoa My Dong Primary School (Hoa My commune) has consistently maintained review classes in Math and Vietnamese for 11 first-grade students. Ms. Phan Thi Hieu, Deputy Principal of Hoa My Dong Primary School, shared that the students attending summer classes (from 5 classes in the 2024-2025 school year) are at risk of repeating a grade. Therefore, the homeroom teachers have proactively coordinated with parents to provide remedial instruction and reinforce the students' knowledge during the summer. The school will hold the first test in early August 2025; teachers will continue to reinforce the knowledge of students who have not yet passed in order to take the second test at the end of August.”

Teachers at Hoa Hong Kindergarten (Ea Sup commune) are receiving enrollment applications.

For the 2025-2026 school year, Hoa Hong Kindergarten (Ea Sup commune) has been assigned to enroll 167 new students. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, the principal of Hoa Hong Kindergarten, said that the school is focusing on enrollment to ensure the total number of students reaches 345 (16 classes). During the application process, the enrollment department also collects information, informs parents on contact methods, and guides them on providing psychological support for their children at home. Currently, the school is trimming trees, cleaning the school grounds and classrooms; and reviewing facilities to ensure a safe learning environment for the children. During the preparation process, the school has also received attention and guidance from the Party Committee and People's Committee of Ea Sup commune and has been invested with 50 new sets of desks and chairs for students in this new school year.

The 2025-2026 school year is the first year after the province's merger and the establishment of a two-tiered local government. The Department of Education and Training has organized working groups to visit communes and wards to assess the state management of education and training; guide schools in coordinating with local authorities to prepare for the new school year; and review facilities, teachers, and staff.

According to the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Le Thi Thanh Xuan, during the process of working with the commune-level authorities and school leaders, the department requested the heads of units to continue studying and strictly implementing relevant documents and directives in the preparation for the new school year 2025-2026. This includes focusing on digital transformation in education; researching and implementing various solutions to improve the quality of mass education from the beginning of the school year…

In the 2025-2026 school year, the entire province will have 1,383 educational institutions from preschool to high school, including: 453 preschools, 456 primary schools, 327 junior high schools, 22 ethnic minority boarding junior high schools, 92 high schools, and 23 vocational education and continuing education centers…
