PC Quang Tri was rewarded for promptly fixing the power grid problem after storm No. 10.

QTO - In recognition of the proactive spirit and efforts to overcome difficulties of the electricity sector in quickly restoring the power grid after storm No. 10, recently, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province awarded the Central Power Corporation, Quang Tri Power Company (PC) and 5 shock teams for their contributions to quickly stabilizing people's lives and serving local activities.

Storm No. 10 caused serious damage to the power system in the province. Specifically, 33 feeders from 5 110kV stations and 39 medium voltage segments were damaged; thousands of kilometers of lines were damaged; 2,365/5,762 transformer stations stopped operating (accounting for 41%) and 227,171/522,371 customers were affected, accounting for 43.5% of the total number of electricity customers in the area.

Faced with that reality, PC Quang Tri urgently activated the "4 on-site" motto, quickly reported to superiors, mobilized maximum forces, means and materials to inspect, count the damage and urgently restore the power grid. Hundreds of officers, engineers and workers stayed at the scene day and night in heavy rain, deep flooding and difficult terrain, with the determination to restore electricity to the people as soon as possible.

With a spirit of urgency and constant efforts, just 3 days after the storm dissipated, the power grid in the province was basically restored, with nearly 100% of customers having their power restored.
