Presenting nearly 1,000 gifts to people in flood-affected areas of Lang Son

QTO - With the spirit of "helping each other", in recent days, people across the country have turned to the northern provinces that suffered damage after the historic flood with meaningful actions.

Traveling more than 570km from Phong Nha commune, Quang Tri province to Van Nham and Yen Binh communes ( Lang Son province), the Phong Nha commune volunteer group was present in time to hand over meaningful gifts to the local people, including rice, necessities and cash.

Mr. Dinh Xuan Hau, a member of the Phong Nha commune volunteer group, said that immediately after receiving information about the damage to the people in the North due to the heavy rain, the group called for support from local donors and promptly gathered goods to directly provide relief to the people.

“With the sentiment of helping each other, our group did not mind the long distance, contacted the local authorities to hand over 1,000 meaningful gifts to the people of Van Nham and Yen Binh communes, with a total value of nearly 400 million VND. This is the sentiment of sharing from the "heartland of the Central region" for the people of the North with the hope that the people will soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives" - Mr. Hau shared.
