Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh emphasized that the goal by 2030 is to turn Khanh Hoa into a centrally-run city, with people having a high-quality, peaceful and happy life.

To realize this goal, the province has identified three main pillars of economic development, including: Industry, tourism services and renewable energy. According to the plan, Khanh Hoa will mobilize nearly 25,000 MW of clean electricity from solar, wind and gas energy. The province also plans 6,000 hectares of land to develop industrial parks. At the same time, high-tech agriculture and aquaculture will be promoted, taking full advantage of deep-water seaports and storm-free sea areas.
In terms of infrastructure, Khanh Hoa is accelerating the progress of strategic projects. Since 2020, the province has received strong investment from the Central Government for its road, railway, aviation and seaport systems. The Van Phong Expressway is expected to be completed in 2025. The Nha Trang - Da Lat Expressway will start construction in 2026, shortening the travel time from Nha Trang to the Central Highlands to 4 hours. The province will also implement the planning of a second international airport before 2030.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Khanh Hoa is the only province in the country that has had two special policy mechanisms approved by the National Assembly, creating strong development momentum.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated Khanh Hoa for organizing the conference soon after the merger policy, demonstrating the spirit of accompanying businesses. The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that in 2024, Khanh Hoa will achieve GRDP growth of 10.16%, the third consecutive year of double-digit growth.

“With the Party and Government's breakthrough policies and guidelines, Khanh Hoa (after the merger) has many potentials and advantages to consolidate its position as a growth pole of the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and the whole country, creating new momentum and strength to quickly achieve the goal of becoming a centrally-run city by 2030,” Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized.
To enter a new stage of development, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung suggested a number of key solutions. For the province, leaders need to unite and pioneer innovation, while officials must dare to think and dare to act. On the business side, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested proactively seizing investment opportunities in areas such as clean energy, logistics, tourism, and organic agriculture. He also called on large enterprises to play a leading role, while promoting linkages so that small and medium enterprises have the opportunity to participate in the value chain.
Receiving the instructions, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh pledged that the province will closely accompany businesses and investors. The province will shift from an administrative mindset to a service mindset. To ensure efficiency, the province will build a set of KPIs to evaluate the performance of departments, branches and localities, demonstrating the spirit of "telling the truth, doing the truth, achieving real results".
