Sao Mai Khanh Ly was very moved when she first heard this song, she wanted to make a MV to pay tribute to the fallen heroes. She also chose to go to Quang Tri even though in the digital age, many MVs can be set up with simulated or documentary scenes. But Sao Mai Khanh Ly chose to go to Quang Tri, not only to film the MV but to pay tribute.

MV Forever with the mountains and rivers tells the story of a veteran father and his daughter returning to the old battlefield.

With the determination and gratitude of Khanh Ly, the MV “Con mai voi non song” has brought the audience eye-catching images, rich in cinematic quality. The detail of the girl gently stroking each mossy brick in the Citadel, the scene of Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery with hundreds of flickering candles, the scene of releasing lanterns on Thach Han River when the sun has not yet risen, the scene of Khanh Ly wearing a white ao dai standing and singing on a boat in the middle of the blue Thach Han River recorded by a flycam expanding the space, the image of a father pensive with his gentle, youthful daughter creating a contrast between the past and the present, war and peace … All blend with Khanh Ly's powerful, emotional voice, making the listener more impressed.

Khanh Ly said that the experience of filming at the historical sites of Quang Tri brought her real emotions, helping her to express the song more deeply, singing in a chamber music that sounded like a whisper... When filming at the Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery, among thousands of graves, many of the martyrs were in their late teens and early twenties, she burned incense and sang without holding back her tears.
