Three "Swimming Pools for Children" projects were inaugurated and handed over.

To welcome the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri Province, term 2024-2029, today, August 17th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri Province, in coordination with the Vinaconex Charity Association and Friends, and the People's Committees of Vinh Linh, Trieu Phong, and Dakrong districts, organized the inauguration and handover of "Swimming Pools for Children" projects at the following schools: Quyet Thang Primary School, Vinh Linh district; Trieu Son Primary and Secondary School, Trieu Phong district; and Krong Klang Secondary School, Dakrong district.

During the program, the organizers held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and handed over the three "Swimming Pools for Children" projects at the three aforementioned schools.

The total value of these swimming pool projects is nearly 1 billion VND, including funding from the Vinaconex Charity Association and its friends, along with matching funds from local authorities.

Each swimming pool is designed with 3 lanes, with a total length of 24.6 m, a width of 8.1 m, and a height of 1.2 m. It is equipped with a system including: pool liners, pool covers, canopies, protective fences, and a pool frame made of high-strength aluminum alloy. During the program, the Vinaconex Charity Association and its friends donated 138 swimming goggles and teddy bears to students at the schools.

"Swimming pools for children" are practical projects that help students access and practice swimming skills to prevent drowning; contributing to reducing child deaths due to drowning and increasing the percentage of children who know how to swim in the area.
