Inauguration of Cau Lo 2 - a project to welcome the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025

On the morning of September 24, the Vinh Long Provincial Traffic Project Management Board (investor) solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Road 2 Bridge project on Vo Van Kiet Street. This is a project to welcome the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term (2025 - 2030), towards the 14th National Congress of Delegates.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dang Van Chinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The Highway 2 Bridge project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2767 dated October 31, 2019 and adjusted the project in Decision No. 2993 dated December 26, 2023. The bridge is built of reinforced concrete, load capacity HL93, consisting of 2 units, each unit is 79m long and 10m wide. In addition to the bridge, there is also investment in the road leading to the bridge, residential roads, sidewalks, drainage system, lighting system... with a total project investment of nearly 186 billion VND. Investment capital: Vinh Long Radio and Television Station sponsored through the State Budget.

With the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the efforts of all sectors and levels, along with the consensus and enthusiastic support of the people, after a period of active construction, the Road 2 Bridge project has been completed about 45 days ahead of schedule.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Dang Van Chinh acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board together with departments, branches, consulting units, contractors in the design and construction organization of the project to ensure quality, ahead of schedule and safety in construction. At the same time, he emphasized that this is a traffic project of special significance in completing the urban technical infrastructure network, contributing to improving connectivity capacity and promoting socio -economic development of the province.

In order for the project to be effective after being put into use, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Dang Van Chinh requested the Traffic Project Management Board and related units to promptly hand over, manage and exploit, and at the same time pay attention to maintenance work according to regulations, so that the bridge is always sustainable over time, serving the people best.
