Inauguration of the Interior Exhibition Project of Bac Lieu Provincial Museum

According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu, the Museum exhibition project is arranged on a total fixed exhibition area of ​​nearly 2000m2, including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors of block B and the 2nd floor of block C. The content of the exhibition layout is divided into 10 topics: From the process of forming Bac Lieu land to the process of fighting to contribute to national liberation to the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

The project started on October 2, 2023, with a total cost of more than 75 billion VND.

After nearly 19 months of construction, all project items on the 1st and 2nd floors of block B and the 2nd floor of block C have been completed and are ready for use.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Huynh Huu Tri - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee said that the project to display the interior of the Provincial Museum is large-scale with more than 10 bidding packages, which can be considered one of the projects of great significance to the Party Committee and the people of Bac Lieu province. At the same time, it becomes a "red address" to educate patriotic traditions, an attractive destination to attract people from all walks of life in the province and the public from near and far to visit and study, contributing to promoting the image of the homeland and people of Bac Lieu and serving the tourism development of the province.

Mr. Pham Van Thieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the project of Interior Exhibition of the General Museum.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on developing solutions and plans for effective and safe operations. Continue to collect documents to enrich the function of the province's general museum, maximizing the effectiveness of this cultural institution to flourish.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to pay attention to strengthening training, fostering and improving the qualifications, awareness and style of officials and civil servants in museum work; Promoting communication, connection and introduction activities to attract visitors, thereby making the museum a familiar and attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Bac Lieu. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry's specialized agencies to effectively display and preserve artifacts, especially national treasures recognized by the Prime Minister.
