The Minister of Transport decided to organize the inauguration of two North-South expressway projects, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam section and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet on May 19.
The inauguration ceremony of the North-South expressway component project, section Nha Trang - Cam Lam will be held in Cam Hiep Nam commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province; section Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet was held in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.
Located in Khanh Hoa province, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam project is more than 49 km long, 4 lanes, 17 m wide, with a total investment of more than 5.500 billion VND. This is the first section of the route invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) under the East North-South Expressway project in the period 2017-2020 to be completed.
The investor is Son Hai Group, the project enterprise is Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway Investment Company Limited. The enterprise completed the project 3 months ahead of schedule.

Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project is 100,8 km long, passing through Binh Thuan province. In the phase of divergence, the project is invested with 4 lanes, without emergency stop lanes, instead of 150 m long emergency stops, 17 m wide roadbed. The deep excavation and embankment sections have a scale of 4 lanes, the width of the roadbed is 32 m. Total project investment is more than 10.800 billion VND from the State budget.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section will connect with the 99 km Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway completed on April 30 and the Long Thanh - Dau Giay section, creating a 4 km arterial highway from Binh Thuan to Ho Chi Minh City. .
The two projects will bring the total number of kilometers of North-South expressway into operation to 835 km, an increase of 458 km compared to the period before 2020.
