Indian Cultural Space inaugurated in Lam Dong province.

On May 22nd, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, held the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Cultural Space at the Lam Dong Provincial Library (Phan Thiet ward).

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, the formation of the Indian Cultural Space stems from the policy of strengthening cultural, educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and India; and at the same time, meets the needs of officials, people, especially students in Lam Dong province, to learn, study, and research about the country, people, and culture of India.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh – Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee – stated that the Indian Cultural Space is not only a space for reading and research, but also a place to introduce the unique values ​​of Indian history, culture, country, and people to officials, the people, and especially the younger generation of Lam Dong province. Through this, it contributes to expanding knowledge, strengthening exchange and mutual understanding, and promoting friendship between the people of the two countries.

The leaders of Lam Dong province requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue directing the Provincial Library to effectively utilize and promote the Indian cultural space; so that all segments of the population can easily access the Indian cultural space when visiting the library for sightseeing, research, and study… This will help people enhance their understanding of India in all fields, as well as connect with the people, the student community, and the intellectual community to access information and knowledge about India.

Dr. Vipra Pandey – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City – hopes that this space will become a useful resource for students, researchers, and readers in Lam Dong province who want to learn more about India — from its history, culture, traditions, and literature to its contemporary development.
