Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Middle Road, Binh Dong 2 Hamlet, Huong My Commune.
This is a construction project to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023), supported by the Provincial Veterans Association mobilizing support from benefactors.
Attending the event were Lieutenant Colonel Pham Minh Chau - Commander of the Military Command of Ben Tre City, representatives of the leaders of the Veterans Association of Mo Cay Nam District; Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Committee of Huong My Commune and local people. Representatives of the unit supporting the construction of the project were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong and members of the Volunteer Group of Dong Nai City - Ho Chi Minh City.
The Middle Road project in Binh Dong 2 Hamlet is 843m long, 2.5m wide, and 14cm thick. The total construction cost is 580 million VND; of which, the Provincial Veterans Association mobilized donors to support 350 million VND, the rest was mobilized by local contributions, the people of Binh Dong 2 Hamlet contributed labor days and donated land and crops (worth tens of millions of VND).
On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to the sponsoring unit; the Provincial Veterans Association awarded certificates of merit to individuals with many contributions. The Provincial Veterans Association awarded 70 gifts to policy families and poor and disadvantaged households in Binh Dong 2 hamlet (worth over 20 million VND).
