Currently, the commune is striving to accelerate towards achieving the goal of becoming an Advanced New Rural Development commune by the end of 2025."

The commune has not yet met 7 advanced new rural development criteria: transportation, schools, information and communication, multidimensional poverty, rural production organization and economic development, health, and quality of living environment. Of these, the commune is focusing on implementing the multidimensional poverty criterion, as achieving this will be a crucial prerequisite for completing the other criteria. Currently, the commune has 47 poor households, accounting for 1.48%; 88 near-poor households, accounting for 2.78%; and multidimensional poverty at 3.5%, with the goal of reducing it to below 2.5% by 2025.

In 2024, the commune built and renovated 4 houses for policy beneficiary families and 68 houses for poor and disadvantaged households. In particular, implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and develop social housing, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, the commune has completed 52 out of 105 houses for poor and disadvantaged households, policy beneficiary families, and ethnic minority households.

Furthermore, the commune actively provides vocational training and job placement services for rural workers, effectively deploys capital from national target programs and projects, and facilitates access to preferential loans for people to invest in production and business models. The goal is to increase the average income of residents to over 68 million VND per year by 2025.
