The people of Song Doc commune highly agree with the establishment of a ward.

On the afternoon of May 25th, the People's Council of Song Doc commune held its second (special) session to consider and decide on many important issues related to the local development orientation in the new period, including the proposal to establish Song Doc ward.

• Seeking public opinion on the proposal to establish Dam Doi ward.
• Agreement reached on the plan to establish Tran Van Thoi Ward.

According to the report presented at the meeting, after reviewing the standards for administrative units of wards and communes, Song Doc fully meets the conditions regarding population size, natural area, urban population ratio, economic structure, non-agricultural labor ratio, average per capita income, and poverty rate as stipulated.

Song Doc Ward will be established based on retaining its entire natural area of ​​83.95 km², with a population of approximately 47,300 people and 22 subordinate residential units.

To ensure democracy and transparency, the People's Committee of the commune organized a public consultation in 22 hamlets from May 18-19. The results showed that 99.99% of households in the area agreed, demonstrating a very high level of public support for the establishment of Song Doc ward.

Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Song Doc commune, Ma Minh Tam, emphasized that the establishment of Song Doc ward will open a new chapter in the urban development process of the locality.

At the meeting, the commune's People's Council delegates voted to approve the Proposal and Draft Resolution on the establishment of Song Doc ward in Ca Mau province.

In addition, the session also approved the Report and Draft Resolution approving the Plan for organizing, building, training, operating, and ensuring the regime and policies for the militia and self-defense forces of Song Doc commune for the period 2026-2030.

Delegates attending the 2nd session of the Song Doc Commune People's Council considered and approved the plan to establish Song Doc Ward.

In his closing remarks at the session, Mr. Ma Minh Tam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune, emphasized that the approval of the plan to establish Song Doc ward by the People's Council of the commune is an important milestone, opening a new chapter in the urban development process of the locality.

The Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune requested that the People's Committee of the commune and relevant departments and units continue to complete the dossier according to regulations; strengthen propaganda work to create unity among cadres, Party members and the people. At the same time, proactively prepare the necessary conditions for the process of transforming the management model when approved by the competent authority.
