Rewarding 9 students who won prizes in the National Math Olympiad for students

Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted has just held a ceremony to honor and reward 9 students of the school who won prizes in the 31st National Mathematics Olympiad for students in the 2024-2025 school year.

The contest was organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Society from early April 2025 at Saigon University ( Ho Chi Minh City). This year's contest had 90 delegations from 50 academies, universities and 40 specialized high schools nationwide, including 650 students and 430 pupils. Students took the Algebra and Analysis exams; pupils took the Geometry and Combinations exams. Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School had 10 students participating, with 9/10 students winning prizes, including: 2 first prizes for Cao Hoang Lam and Le Tien Thanh, both in grade 11 Math 1; 4 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 1 consolation prize. Previously, Cao Hoang Lam won the national second prize in Mathematics and Le Tien Thanh won the national third prize in Mathematics. Of the 9 prize-winning students, all received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Mathematical Society.

The National Mathematics Olympiad for Students aims to promote the passion for mathematics among students. Thereby, it discovers and nurtures students who are good at mathematics as well as creates opportunities for exchanges between excellent mathematics students in specialized high schools with students and mathematics lecturers at universities, colleges and academies. The competition aims to contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning mathematics.
