The program showcases the beauty of the sea and the vast forests, celebrating the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces into the new Dak Lak province.

The program began with the song and dance performance "Lullaby of Au Lac," combined with mapping art, creating a captivating visual and auditory space. The legend of "Children of the Dragon and the Immortal" was recreated on stage through art, spreading a message of unity among different regions and ethnic groups.

With a running time of approximately 90 minutes, "Dak Lak - Echoes of a New Day" portrays the beauty of the land and people of the newly established Dak Lak province, from the majestic mountains to the coastal region with its blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine. It depicts the unique cultural colors of the ethnic groups living in this land, while also expressing the aspiration to rise and enter a new era.

The audience was impressed by the song and dance performance combined with mapping "Sediment of the Ba River," the folk instrument ensemble "The Father's Spirit," the stone xylophone and stone horn ensemble "The Sound of the Origin Celebrating the Homeland Festival," and the song and dance performances "Loving You from the Sun and Wind," "Sparkling Mui Dien," "The Vibrant and Vast Dak Lak Plateau," "Our Sea," "The Sea and Forest in a New Era," etc.; and was captivated by the presentation of collections: brocade "The Fragrance of the Great Forest," ao dai "Waves," and summer fashion "Waves of the Thousand" by designer Nguyen Viet Hung, showcased by famous beauty queens, runners-up, and models.

More than just a large-scale art and fashion show, "Dak Lak - Echoes of a New Day" is also a proud greeting from the new Dak Lak - a land of diverse cultures that is strongly rising and full of aspirations to enter a new era.

Mr. Huynh Tu Nhan, Deputy Director in charge of the Sao Bien Folk Music and Dance Theatre, who directed the artistic direction and wrote the script for the program, shared: “The theatre and the Dak Lak Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe collaborated to produce this program to serve the people and tourists visiting the eastern region of Dak Lak. The program celebrates the cultural characteristics and beauty of the land and people in the western and eastern parts of Dak Lak, from the mountains to the coastal plains, reflecting the blend of two different cultural spaces, working together to build and develop.”

One of the highlights of the program was the interaction with Miss Vietnam 2024 Ha Truc Linh and Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa. Amidst the excitement and enthusiastic cheers of the audience, Miss Ha Truc Linh shared that returning to her hometown – a region in the eastern part of Dak Lak province – made her feel emotional and proud. Not only was she loved by her family and friends, but Truc Linh was also warmly welcomed by the local people. This gives her strength for her journey ahead.

Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2024, Dinh Thi Hoa, said that after winning the title last summer, on her journey to fulfill her mission as a tourism ambassador, she chose Phu Yen (formerly) as the first province to carry out meaningful promotional activities. Referring to the folk verse, "The Ba River flows down to Da Rang/ Who loves Dak Lak as much as Phu Yen?", Miss Dinh Thi Hoa expressed her feelings about the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen into the new Dak Lak province. "Hoa believes this will be an opportunity for her – a daughter of Dak Lak province – to strive and dedicate herself to further promote the image of the new Dak Lak, attracting more domestic and international tourists to the new Dak Lak," said Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2024.

Meritorious Artist Joel Knul (Dak Lak Ethnic Dance and Music Troupe) said: "The members of the two art troupes have known each other for a long time, and performing together this time feels like family. We are performing with a new spirit after the two provinces merged, so we are very excited." Artist Y Moan Hmok (Dak Lak Ethnic Dance and Music Troupe) shared: "Performing for my homeland, everything blends together, making me feel exhilarated."

Growing up in the former Phu Yen province, Meritorious Artist Thanh Loan (Sao Bien Folk Music and Dance Theatre) confided: “I have poured all my feelings and dedication into this land. Every time I perform in art programs serving political purposes, serving the people, and conveying messages about the culture and unique beauty of this land to the audience through the language of dance, I feel happy.”
