When the whole family enters exam season together.

VHO - Every exam season, many families enter a "special period." Families with children preparing for exams also mean that the whole family's daily routine changes according to the child's study schedule, test schedule, and exam schedule.

Students aren't the only ones who stay up late. Beyond the brightly lit room at midnight, you can often hear the sound of a mother warming up a glass of milk, a father softly asking, "How far have you gotten with your studies?", or the lights in the living room still on because the adults haven't yet gone to bed.

The exam season for children is often also a "peak season" for parents.

Those days the whole family revolved around the exam schedule.

During the exam period, many parents almost completely adjust their daily routines to be with their children. Some try to leave work early to drop off and pick up their children. Others change shifts because they are worried about their children attending late-night tutoring sessions alone. Some families limit the volume of the television and make meals lighter to reduce stress for their children.

Many parents jokingly say they are more nervous than their children taking the exam.

The children were in the exam room for two hours, and the adults outside the school gate were anxiously waiting for the same amount of time. Some waited from the beginning to the end of the session, even in the scorching sun. Others checked their watches every few minutes, trying to guess what question their children had answered.

Those anxieties are rarely expressed aloud, but the exam season repeats itself every year.

At the exam sites, the most common sight is not only students in white uniforms but also parents sitting crowded on the sidewalks, sheltering under trees, or sitting on motorbikes waiting for their children.

Some parents held bottles of water, others prepared tissues and headache medicine... Some even stood right by the school gate just so their children could see them as soon as they came out.

Many students say that simply seeing their parents waiting outside the school gate instantly relieves their stress.

Parental support during exam season sometimes isn't about how much knowledge students acquire, but about the feeling of "always having someone waiting for you."

The pressure from parents is also considerable.

Along with the pressure on students comes the worry of parents about their children's grades, schools, and future. Especially during entrance exams for high school or university, many parents are stressed for months at a time.

However, in many cases, excessive anxiety unintentionally puts more pressure on children. Questions like "Can you do it?", "Are you sure you'll pass?", or constantly comparing themselves to friends can sometimes make students more tired than studying itself.

Many teachers believe that what students need most during this period is a stable mental state. A relaxed meal, sufficient sleep, or gentle encouragement are sometimes more important than forcing them to study for many extra hours.

What we might remember most later might not be the grades.

Every exam season will eventually pass. Some people achieve the results they hoped for, while others regret not doing as well. But years later, what people remember most may not necessarily be their exam scores.

It could be the image of a mother nodding off in the living room waiting for her child to finish studying, a father driving in the midday sun just to bring his child a computer they forgot at home, or the days when the whole family eats and lives according to a child's exam preparation schedule.

Exam season is primarily a story for students, but behind every student there are always the silent "shifts" of parents — not noisy, not boastful, but lasting throughout their children's youth.
