Four inter-regional expressway construction projects and the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project will be simultaneously started on June 17 and 18 under the Prime Minister's direction.

Based on the proposal of the Ministry of Transport, the Prime Minister agreed to simultaneously start construction of 4 component projects of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project on June 17, in which the main starting point is in An Giang.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project has a total route length of more than 188 km. Of which, the route through An Giang province is 56.7 km; Can Tho city is 37.7 km; Hau Giang province is 37.7 km and Soc Trang province is 56.1 km.

Phase 1 of the project is invested with a scale of four lanes, arranging intermittent emergency lanes, preliminary land use demand is about 1,205 hectares. Total investment is 44,691 billion VND.

Along with that, the Prime Minister also agreed to organize the simultaneous groundbreaking of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, and Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway projects on June 18, in which the main starting point is in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ring Road 3 is 76.34 km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An provinces. The project is expected to create regional connectivity, promoting economic and social development in the Southern Key Region.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is over 53km long, passing through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces with 3 component projects. Of which, the section passing through the province is over 34km long, divided into two component projects. The total investment of the project is over 17.8 trillion VND. Component project 1, invested by the Provincial People's Committee, is about 16km long.

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project has a total length of 117.5km, divided into 3 component projects. The project starts at the intersection between National Highway 26B and National Highway 1 (Nam Van Phong Port area, Khanh Hoa province) and ends at the intersection with Ho Chi Minh Road, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot City.
