Four inter-regional expressway construction projects and the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project will be simultaneously launched on June 17th and 18th, as directed by the Prime Minister.

Based on a proposal from the Ministry of Transport, the Prime Minister has agreed to simultaneously commence construction on June 17th for four component projects of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project, with the main groundbreaking ceremony taking place in An Giang.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project has a total length of over 188 km. Of this, the section through An Giang province is 56.7 km; Can Tho city is 37.7 km; Hau Giang province is 37.7 km; and Soc Trang province is 56.1 km.

Phase 1 of the project involves investment in a four-lane road with discontinuous emergency stopping lanes, requiring approximately 1,205 hectares of land. The total investment is 44,691 billion VND.

In addition, the Prime Minister also agreed to hold simultaneous groundbreaking ceremonies for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, and the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway on June 18th, with the main groundbreaking ceremony taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 76.34 km long Ring Road 3 passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An provinces. The project is expected to create regional connectivity and promote economic and social development in the Southern Key Economic Region.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project spans over 53km, passing through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces, and comprises three component projects. The section within the province is over 34km long, divided into two sub-projects. The total investment for the project is over 17.8 trillion VND. Component project 1, with the Provincial People's Committee as the investor, is approximately 16km long.

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project has a total length of 117.5km, divided into 3 component projects. The project starts at the intersection of National Highway 26B and National Highway 1 (in the Nam Van Phong Port area, Khanh Hoa province) and ends at the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city.
