Awarding the Thai Binh province Literature and Arts Award named after Scientist Le Quy Don

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for considering and awarding the Thai Binh Provincial Literature and Arts Award named after scholar Le Quy Don and leaders of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations awarded the First Prize to the winning authors.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Pham Van Nghiem, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for considering and awarding the Thai Binh Provincial Literature and Arts Award named after the scholar Le Quy Don; Associate Professor, Doctor of Musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

The Le Quy Don Literature and Arts Award, for the 2012-2017 and 2017-2022 periods, has received positive responses and participation from a large number of artists and writers in the province and authors from other provinces. The works participating in the award closely followed the content and theme of the award with the main inspiration being the tradition, cultural identity, historical traditions, natural landscapes, heritage of Thai Binh land, the beauty in the personality and temperament of Thai Binh people, pride, love, and deep attachment to the homeland. Each work clearly demonstrates the passion, dedication, and creative responsibility of the artists and contributes to the construction and development of Thai Binh culture and people in the new era. In the 2 phases, the Organizing Committee received a total of 143 works in 8 literary and artistic genres, of which 105 works were eligible for the award. The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 91 winning works.

Associate Professor, Doctor of Musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee commended and congratulated the authors and their relatives who won the award. Emphasizing that Thai Binh's history is about to turn a new page, opening a new development period with many great opportunities and fortunes, he hoped that artists with a creative, responsible and dedicated mindset to the common cause will always keep the fire burning and spread the fire, playing a key role in preserving and developing culture and art, being a typical intellectual force, closely following the reality of life, orienting on ideology, aesthetics and cultivating progressive and humanistic values. All levels and sectors create favorable conditions to encourage artists to create new literary and artistic works to meet the requirements of the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people, making positive contributions to the cause of building and developing the homeland.

The organizing committee awarded the second prize of the Thai Binh Provincial Literature and Arts Award named after scholar Le Quy Don to the authors.
