On August 14, the Ministry of Public Security held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build housing for the People's Public Security armed forces on Nguyen Trai Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Hanoi .

This is one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Security Protection Day, and the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, expressed his gratitude to the Hanoi City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee for their attention to investment and practical and effective support for the People's Public Security force in recent years to successfully implement the modernization goal according to Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW dated March 16, 2022 of the Politburo , successfully completing the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

In particular, attention has been paid to implementing a number of housing projects for police officers and soldiers, contributing to solving the difficult housing needs, creating conditions for officers and soldiers to work with peace of mind, contributing to the cause of protecting security and order, contributing to the economic and social development of the country and the city.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security said that in order to implement the Party and State's policies on social housing development in the new situation, the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee met and approved the policy of developing housing for the People's Public Security Armed Forces (social housing for police officers and soldiers) nationwide, including in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security has coordinated with the Ministry of Construction and the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the implementation of housing development for the People's Public Security armed forces (social housing for police officers and soldiers) and achieved some results.

The Housing Construction Project for the People's Public Security Armed Forces on Nguyen Trai Street, Khuong Dinh Ward has a total floor area of 54,081 m2; population size of about 1,200 people, expected to arrange about 408 apartments. Project implementation progress from Quarter III/2025 to Quarter II/2027.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security requested the investor and relevant agencies to fully comply with relevant legal regulations; implement the project to ensure quality, safety, and on schedule as approved by competent authorities.
