On the morning of August 19, in Lang Biang Ward, Da Lat, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the National Sports Training Center project in Da Lat - Area B3. This is an event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that this is one of the typical works and projects that were started and inaugurated online simultaneously at 80 points across the country , an important political event, contributing to promoting the spirit of solidarity and development aspirations; affirming the great achievements of our country in the period of innovation and integration.
From there, deepening national pride, love for the country, adding determination in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, "creating momentum, creating strength" to enter a new era - the era of the country's rise to be rich, civilized, prosperous and thriving.
The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism believes that with the spirit of "urgency - safety - quality - efficiency", the project will be completed on schedule, ensuring technical and aesthetic standards, and soon put into operation, serving the task of national sports training and competition.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the construction and operation of the items in the National Sports Training Center in Da Lat will contribute to creating conditions for Lam Dong province's sports to access modern, international-standard training facilities, improving the quality of the province's athletes.
The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that with the determination of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; provincial leaders; consulting units, construction contractors and the consensus of all levels and sectors, the National Sports Training Center will soon become a modern and sustainable project, contributing to raising the level of Vietnamese sports and creating new development momentum for Lam Dong province.
The National Sports Training Center Project in Da Lat was decided to be invested by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with a total capital of 286 billion VND, implemented in the Cultural-Sports Area of Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province, including 3 main sub-areas: B1, B2 and B3.
In which, area B1 is designed to build residential areas for coaches, experts and athletes, along with support facilities, expected to start construction at the end of 2026; area B2 has an area of 3.77 hectares, is where the multi-purpose stadium will be built, started in October 2023, expected to be completed and put into use in October 2025; area B3 has an area of 3.45 hectares, is a covered swimming pool, golf practice area, expected to be completed in June 2026.
The National Sports Training Center Project in Da Lat is invested in a modern, synchronous manner, ensuring national and international standards, serving both high-performance sports training and competition, and spreading the movement of health training among the people, linked with tourism and cultural development, contributing to the socio-economic growth of Lam Dong province and the Central Highlands region.
On the same morning, Lam Dong province simultaneously held inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for five large-scale projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. These included the inauguration of the Phan Thiet airport access road project (phase 2) and the Mo Vet bridge project; and the groundbreaking of three projects, including the National Sports Training Center in Da Lat - Area B3, the social housing area for workers in Ham Kiem II Industrial Park and the resettlement area in Ham Kiem commune, serving the site clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project through the province.
