Domestic coffee prices today August 21, 2025

On the afternoon of August 21, coffee prices in the Central Highlands continued to increase by 4,400 - 4,600 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Of which, coffee prices in Dak Nong recorded an increase of 4,600 VND/kg, up to 121,900 VND/kg - the highest in the region.

In Dak Lak , the transaction price increased by 4,600 VND/kg, currently trading at 121,700 VND/kg.

Next, coffee price in Gia Lai stood at 121,500 VND/kg, an increase of 4,500 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, Lam Dong is the locality with prices increasing by 4,400 VND/kg, trading at 121,000 VND/kg.

A new record price has been set, reflecting a close correlation with price movements on international exchanges, as well as limited domestic supply. The coffee market is expected to continue to be vibrant in the coming time with many factors supporting prices.

Adverse weather conditions in Brazil, especially during the upcoming flowering period, could negatively impact production in 2025-26. This would tighten global supplies and push prices higher.

The US decision to impose a 50% tariff on coffee imports from Brazil is causing importers to turn to other markets to avoid higher costs. This creates a great opportunity for Vietnamese coffee, the world's leading Robusta producer, to increase its market share in key markets such as the US, EU, Japan, South Korea and China.

Vietnamese coffee businesses are increasingly focusing on deep processing, traceability and effectively utilizing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to increase product value. This not only helps Vietnamese coffee consolidate its position in the world market but also creates momentum for sustainable growth in domestic coffee prices.
