Tomorrow (December 19th), groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for 234 key projects will take place simultaneously across the country, creating a new momentum and driving force for development.

The groundbreaking, inauguration, and technical opening ceremonies for projects and works are important political events commemorating the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance War, and celebrating the 11th National Emulation Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

As stated by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Government's Standing Committee meeting on the preparation for the groundbreaking, inauguration, and technical opening ceremonies of key projects: The groundbreaking ceremonies for 234 projects aim to create momentum, inspire new enthusiasm, and contribute to boosting the economy towards double-digit growth in the coming years...

Looking at the number and scale of projects scheduled to commence and be inaugurated tomorrow, every citizen is filled with emotion, pride, excitement, and a glimmer of hope. 234 projects and works are eligible for commencement, inauguration, and technical opening, distributed across 34 provinces and cities. Of these, 148 projects will commence construction, and 86 projects will be inaugurated or have their technical opening completed…

Many strategic transportation projects have been launched or opened for technical traffic, such as the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) from Can Tho - Hau Giang - Ca Mau, and the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway...

In addition, there are fundamental industrial and energy projects such as the Hoa Phat Dung Quat railway rail and special steel production project; urban infrastructure, service, and socio-cultural projects such as the Olympic Sports City in Hanoi, the Youth Cultural Center in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Hue International General Hospital; along with long-term strategic projects such as Phase 1 of Long Thanh International Airport.

The selection of projects across various sectors clearly demonstrates an investment objective that focuses not only on immediate growth but also on completing a comprehensive infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and creating a foundation for long-term development.

Looking back at the country's history, it is clear that infrastructure development has always been linked to the goals and requirements of each specific period. Whenever the country enters a turning point, the organization, restoration, and investment in infrastructure construction are always considered a strategically important task.

It can be said that the groundbreaking ceremony for 234 key projects nationwide is not only a major event in socio-economic development management, but also a clear symbol of confidence and expectations for Vietnam's sustainable future development in the context of deep international integration. This large-scale event, spanning 34 provinces and cities, demonstrates the government's determination to prepare a solid foundation for the country's new development phase.

Regarding investment capital, the total investment in projects reached over 3.4 million billion VND, of which 96 projects used state capital with over 627,000 billion VND (accounting for approximately 18% of the total capital), while the remaining 138 projects used other sources of capital with over 2.79 million billion VND, accounting for 82% of the total investment... This figure demonstrates the effectiveness of solutions to improve the investment and business environment in recent times and the strong confidence of the market and businesses in the prospects for Vietnam's economic development in the future.

The groundbreaking, inauguration, and technical opening ceremonies were conducted using a hybrid model of in-person and online participation, with 79 connection points nationwide, symbolizing the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2025). The central connection point was located in Hanoi, linking to 11 in-person connection points in various localities and 67 online connection points at construction sites and projects.
