Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that when the Ring Road 4 project passing through Binh Duong province is completed, it will connect with Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, playing a very important role in the circulation and transportation of goods, serving the requirements of socio-economic development, reducing traffic congestion, connecting provinces and cities, promoting the development of satellite cities and expanding new development space; creating momentum for industrial, urban, commercial and service development, ensuring national defense and security for the entire Southern key economic region, with Ho Chi Minh City as the central nucleus of the region; contributing to the completion of the target of 5,000km of expressway set by the Party and the Government in the period of 2021-2030.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project is a national key traffic project with a total length of about 207km; the section passing through Binh Duong province is 47.8km long, with a scale of 8 complete expressway lanes, designed speed of 100km/h. The joint venture of Industrial Development and Investment Corporation - JSC - Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company - the winning investor of the investment project to build Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 from Thu Bien Bridge - Saigon River (phase 1) under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
The total investment capital for the DT743, DT746 and DT747B routes is nearly 2,400 billion VND. These are important intra-provincial traffic axes, contributing to the completion of Binh Duong's modern traffic network.
The mechanical engineering industrial park has a total area of 786 hectares with a total investment of more than VND75,000 billion. Located in the Southern key economic region, the industrial park will attract more than 30,000 workers, of which nearly 10,000 workers have university and post-graduate degrees, accounting for nearly 30%. The project is expected to start construction in August 2025 and be partially operational from September 2026.
On this occasion, at the ceremony, a credit financing agreement was signed between Becamex IDC and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - Transaction Office 2 and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development BIDV.
