Groundbreaking ceremony for the second facility of Hanoi Kidney Hospital

On the morning of October 7, the Hanoi People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hanoi Kidney Hospital 2 construction investment project, a key project to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

With the goal of meeting the requirements of modern facilities and equipment to serve well the tasks of emergency, examination and treatment of inpatients and outpatients in the field of Nephrology - Urology for people in Hanoi and neighboring areas, it is expected that after completion in 2026, the hospital will have a scale of 250 beds.

The Hanoi Kidney Hospital 2 Construction Investment Project is one of the key projects in the 2021-2025 period and is identified in Program 08-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Developing the social security system, improving social welfare and quality of life of the people of the Capital in the 2021-2025 period."

In her opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said that, implementing the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Program No. 08 of the Hanoi Party Committee on developing the social security system, improving social welfare to improve the quality of life of the people of the capital in the period of 2021-2025, the city focuses on leadership and direction, mobilizing the entire political system, implementing solutions, paying attention to investment, perfecting the organization and quality management network of hospitals and medical facilities.

The project was started on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, affirming the city's political determination to resolutely implement Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 19, 2025 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

Implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam, health is the most valuable asset of each citizen and the entire nation, and is the decisive factor in the quality of human resources and the sustainable development of the country.

In order for the project to be completed on schedule, ensuring quality and soon put into operation, the Project Management Board and the construction units, design supervision consultants, and project implementation focus maximum resources, human resources, equipment, and construction organization to ensure quality, labor safety, environmental sanitation, savings and ensure progress according to the approved plan.

Departments, branches and the People's Committee of Duong Noi ward continue to closely coordinate, promptly create favorable conditions, and remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of project implementation.

The Department of Health directed the Hanoi Kidney Hospital to proactively prepare human resources, organize the apparatus, provide professional training, and be ready to receive, exploit, and operate the new facility effectively.

Hanoi Kidney Hospital 2 project is located in Duong Noi ward, the scale of the main building is from 2 to 8 floors above ground, 1 basement, construction area of about 6,355m2, total investment of about 748 billion VND from the city budget. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.

The addition of Hanoi Kidney Hospital, branch 2, in 2026 will contribute to improving the capacity of the capital's healthcare system, helping more people access high-quality medical services in kidney and urinary tract, serving people's healthcare with increasingly higher quality and more specialized care./.
