In celebration of International Children's Day on June 1st, Khanh Hoi General Hospital, in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital, organized a program to provide free cardiovascular disease screening and oral health care for children in the city.
The program aims to detect congenital heart defects and common dental problems in children early, facilitating timely consultation and intervention. Simultaneously, it seeks to raise parental awareness about cardiovascular and dental health care for children in their early years. The program is scheduled to take place on June 2nd, 2026, at the Pediatrics Department, Khanh Hoi General Hospital (63-65 Ben Van Don Street, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). Examination times are from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

To ensure the program runs smoothly, the hospital has collaborated with specialized units to develop procedures for receiving and triaging patients, while also preparing sufficient personnel and equipment for screening. Cardiologists and maxillofacial specialists will directly examine and advise children participating in the program.
Children will receive clinical examinations, echocardiograms when indicated, and cardiovascular health consultations; they will also receive dental checkups, oral care advice, fillings, or extractions as needed. All examination and treatment costs within the program are free of charge.
According to the organizers, the registration process is underway to help parents proactively schedule appointments and avoid overcrowding on the examination day. The program is for children aged 0 to 16. Parents are encouraged to bring their children at the registered time and include their birth certificate or other identification documents (if available).
Through this meaningful activity, the collaborating units hope to contribute to the early detection of cardiovascular abnormalities and oral health care for children, thereby protecting their health and improving the quality of life for future generations.
