On the morning of May 27th, at Bac Lieu University (Bac Lieu ward), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science and Technology, and Ca Mau Telecommunications, organized the opening ceremony of the 29th Ca Mau Provincial Young Informatics Competition 2026.

Nearly 120 contestants participated in the 26th Bac Lieu Provincial Youth Informatics Competition - 2024.
The 8th Dong Hai District Youth Informatics Competition - 2025 has 70 participants.
Over 90 contestants participated in the 27th Bac Lieu Provincial Youth Informatics Competition - 2025.
Ca Mau has two teams in the finals of the National Youth Informatics Competition.

Attending the opening ceremony was Comrade Pham Minh Luyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee.

Delegates and numerous contestants attended the opening ceremony of the 29th Ca Mau Provincial Youth Informatics Competition in 2026.

This year's competition attracted 210 contestants, all outstanding students from primary, secondary, and high schools across the province.

Contestants competed in six categories designed to suit different educational levels and professional abilities. Category A was for primary school students testing their programming skills; Category B for secondary school students; and Categories C1 and C2 for high school students in both specialized and non-specialized programs.

In addition, the competition also includes creative product design categories based on themes, including category D1 for primary school students, category D2 for secondary school students, and category D3 for high school students.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Dang Khoa delivered the opening speech at the 29th Ca Mau Provincial Youth Informatics Competition in 2026.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran Dang Khoa, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, affirmed that, over 29 years of organization, the Young Informatics Competition has affirmed its important role and position in promoting the movement of learning and applying science and technology to learning, daily life, and socio-economic development of the locality.

The organizers expect that this year's competition will continue to be a valuable knowledge-based playground, contributing to inspiring and enhancing digital skills among the province's youth. At the same time, the competition aims to discover and nurture outstanding IT talents, contributing to the high-quality workforce for the homeland and the country in the digital age.
