Nine teams participated in the competition in the order determined by a draw: A Lưới 2 commune, Phú Vang commune, Thanh Thủy ward, Phong Điền ward, Hương Thủy ward, Hương An ward, Phú Lộc commune, Quảng Điền commune, and An Cựu ward.

The teams took turns presenting their self-introductions, using various forms and themes relevant to the tasks of building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, model rural areas, and civilized urban areas in their localities. In the talent competition, the teams performed skits or short plays depicting the activities and work of officials and members of farmers' associations at all levels in participating in the construction of new rural areas. For the knowledge test, the nine teams were divided into three groups (according to the draw results), and the contestants answered multiple-choice questions.

According to the organizers, the participating teams presented a variety of rich and creative entries, vividly reflecting the knowledge, skills, understanding, and responsibility of farmers in implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

The competition also serves as an opportunity to disseminate information and raise awareness among officials, members, and farmers about the Party and State's policies and guidelines on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; at the same time, it is a beneficial playground, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, demonstrating the solidarity, creativity, and responsibility of the farming class, contributing to strengthening confidence, arousing aspirations, and the spirit of dedication of farmers in the era of integration and development.
