Unleashing the people's strength through patriotic emulation movements.

The road in the Kênh Lâm residential area has been paved with concrete, meeting the transportation needs of the people.

These days, visiting Nam Sam Son ward, one can easily feel the vibrant atmosphere of emulation in the movement to donate land and contribute funds to expand transportation routes. Many previously narrow roads have now been paved with concrete; old fences have been voluntarily dismantled by residents to widen the roads. This result stems from the concretization of Directive No. 06 dated January 22, 2026, of the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee on the campaign to support the construction of concrete roads in the 2026-2027 period.

Ms. Dam Thi Thai, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Sam Son Ward, said: “Through practical surveys, the entire ward has 67 roads needing upgrading and renovation in 25 residential areas with a total length of over 14km. To complete this large volume of work, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has proactively coordinated with member organizations to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to help people understand the purpose, meaning, and practical benefits of investing in transportation infrastructure, thereby fostering the spirit of "the State and the people working together". Thanks to effective public relations work, many households have voluntarily donated land, moved back fences, and not requested compensation, contributing to high consensus in implementation.”

From that consensus, the movement to donate land for road construction quickly spread widely in residential areas. Many households voluntarily donated tens of square meters of land, demolished structures and removed trees to create space for construction. For example, in Viet Trung residential area, 27 households donated nearly 800 square meters of land to widen a 320-meter road from narrow to 7.5 meters, with a total cost of 320 million VND. In Kenh Lam residential area, the people successfully concreted three roads totaling over 200 meters in length, widening the road surface to 3.5-4 meters. The Xuan Thuong residential area also quickly completed a 160m long, 3.5m wide road, facilitating transportation and urban beautification... To date, implementing projects according to Directive No. 06 of the Ward Party Committee, officials, businesses and people in the area have contributed over 1.6 billion VND, completing 17 solid roads with a total length of more than 2km.

Furthermore, in implementing Directive No. 24-CT/TU dated July 12, 2024, of the Provincial Party Committee on the campaign to encourage people to donate land for investment in the renovation, upgrading, and beautification of infrastructure, focusing on transportation routes in rural and urban areas of the province in a synchronized and modern direction, the Fatherland Front of the ward continues to play its role as a bridge between the Party Committee, the government, and the people. Through the persistent propaganda and mobilization efforts of the Fatherland Front and other mass organizations, a sense of community responsibility and pride in their homeland has been awakened in each citizen. As a result, the people have voluntarily donated more than 1,500 square meters of land, worth nearly 3.5 billion VND, to expand inter-neighborhood transportation routes. From this resource, the ward has invested in the construction of more than 4.5 kilometers of synchronized and modern transportation routes with a total value of over 25 billion VND, contributing to expanding the space for tourism and service development and improving the quality of life for the people.

Along with infrastructure development, social welfare work has also received special attention from the Fatherland Front of Nam Sam Son ward. Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor and policy-beneficiary households in the 2024-2025 period, the Fatherland Front of the ward has effectively mobilized social resources from businesses, philanthropists, and expatriates. After two years of implementation, the ward has supported the construction of 47 new houses and the repair of 4 houses for disadvantaged households with a total cost of 3.9 billion VND. These houses of compassion not only help people stabilize their lives but also contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community.

In addition, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized cities" continues to be widely implemented with many practical models such as "Residential areas with civilized behavior", "Bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe residential areas", "Residential areas with self-governing environmental protection"... Through this, awareness of environmental protection, building a cultural lifestyle and ensuring security and order in the area is raised.

The achievements made in the past period continue to affirm the role of the Fatherland Front of Nam Sam Son ward in promoting the strength of the great national unity. Practical experience shows that when the Party's policies are in line with the people's will, and the people play a leading role in patriotic emulation movements, community resources are effectively mobilized, contributing to building Nam Sam Son ward into an increasingly civilized and modern place.
