Launching the 'Seeds for the Future 2024' program.

DNVN – On July 30th, Huawei Vietnam, in collaboration with the Vietnam Digital Communication Association (VDCA) and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), launched the "Seeds for the Future 2024" program.

This year's program features many new learning contents, experiential activities, and prizes: 6 scholarships to study the most advanced technologies and experience Chinese culture; a visit to Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen and participation in the "Asia- Pacific Digital Talent Summit" in Guangxi, China; and the opportunity to receive support for Tech4Good startup projects and participate in a Digital Tour in China in 2025.

The "Seeds for the Future 2024" program is in its ninth year in Vietnam, organized by Huawei. This year's program features innovative content and activities aimed at providing more practical learning opportunities and empowering talented individuals to master digital technology .

Specifically, this year's program will select 40 students for the preliminary round to participate in enriching activities such as tours and exchanges about technology and entrepreneurship with industry experts in Vietnam.

Specifically, the six most outstanding students will have the opportunity to study and explore leading technologies such as 5G, AI, Cloud, Digital Power, etc., and experience the culture at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen. They will also participate in the 4th Asia- Pacific Digital Talent and Future Seeds Summit in Guangxi, China, along with over 100 outstanding students from other countries in the region, for seven days from September 23-29, 2024.

Vietnamese students are also given the opportunity to participate in the Tech4Good competition to apply technology to solve societal problems. Winning teams from the regional rounds will advance to the global finals, competing against contestants from other countries in China in 2025.

In addition, outstanding students from the 2024 program will have the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Digital Tour in China, exploring digital scenarios and technologies, meeting emerging high-tech companies, and networking with leading industry experts.

Program schedule: Application deadline: August 4, 2024. Interview schedule: August 6-7, 2024. Announcement of Top 40 shortlisted candidates: August 9, 2024.

Study and experience program in Vietnam: August 13 – August 20, 2024. Participate in 4 required exams on Cloud Computing, AI Basics, 5G Basics, and Digital Power: August 21, 2024.

Eligibility requirements for the program include: students with excellent academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or higher) or ranking among the top 30% of their class; students with an interest in and desire to learn about advanced technologies, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment; and students with English proficiency at level B2 or higher, or equivalent certificates, demonstrating proficiency in all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to participate in learning sessions and networking events.

The application package includes a CV (Curriculum Vitae) containing basic information, educational background, projects participated in, achievements and awards received, along with transcripts; a cover letter or a 3-minute video introducing yourself, the projects you have participated in, and your reasons and goals for participating in the program.

Launched globally in 2008, “Seeds for the Future” is Huawei’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) project. As of 2024, the program has successfully partnered with over 500 universities in more than 140 countries, involving over 18,000 outstanding students.
