Launching the 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship

On the afternoon of November 14, in Hanoi, Tien Phong Newspaper held a press conference to announce the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship 2024 (Vietnam STEM AI Robotics - VSAR) for high school students with the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development".


VSAR 2024 is one of the activities responding to the National STEM Festival organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, Central Council of Young Pioneers; Hoa Hoc Tro page under Tien Phong Newspaper, Tien Phong Joint Stock Company and Youth Union of the Ministry of Science & Technology in coordination.

STEMeducation has long been appreciated by scientists and educators for its ability to build creative thinking, problem-solving skills and develop interdisciplinary knowledge.

The 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship will include many challenging rounds, suitable for each age and level of students.

At this playground, teams not only compete for titles but also have the opportunity to be selected to participate in international competitions on STEM, AI, Robotics, contributing to improving the position of Vietnamese students on the global science and technology education map.

Speaking at the press conference, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that the contest with the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development" with technology solutions, artificial intelligence and automation to solve challenges in agricultural production.

This is a topic of profound social significance towards sustainable development, achieving the dual goal of both improving production efficiency and protecting the environment through the application of science and technology.

With a variety of contest contents and practical competition tables, the contest is an opportunity for thousands of students across the country to experience, explore and apply knowledge about programming, robot control and develop creative thinking.

According to journalist Phung Cong Suong, the contest is not only a scientific playground but also a connecting bridge, where students from all over the country can exchange, learn and develop together.

“In this journey, no matter who wins the highest prize, all of you are winners because you have cultivated your thinking, broadened your vision, and nurtured your passion for technology to create a bright future. We believe that through the competition, you will not only develop your personal abilities but also enhance your sense of responsibility to society,” the Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper emphasized.

This year's National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship includes 5 main tournaments, including: National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR), IYRC Vietnam Tournament 2024, MakeX Championship, Tekmonk Coding Olympiad Championship, Virtual Robot Championship - ViRC.

Each award has a unique theme revolving around practical, relevant fields such as green agriculture - sustainable development, smart transportation and future innovation.

These tournaments are designed to challenge students' knowledge and skills, from programming and controlling real robots to developing innovative software applications.

The Organizing Committee accepts applications from now until December 10, 2024.

The teams will be divided into groups according to their age and level. The final round of the competition will take place on December 21, 2024, at Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Hanoi).

According to the Organizing Committee, with the aim of encouraging students' creativity and learning spirit, the Organizing Committee has built a rich award system for outstanding teams in each tournament.

The total value of the prize in cash and in kind is more than 400 million VND and more than 600 million VND in scholarships from academies and technology companies.
