Inspiring national pride through the "Identity" contest

SKĐS - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just launched the "Identity" contest to encourage all people to learn, preserve and promote Vietnamese culture, towards the 80th anniversary of National Day and 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day.

On August 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially launched the "Identity" contest with the aim of encouraging and mobilizing the broad participation of the community in learning, preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity; at the same time contributing to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world.

This is one of the practical activities towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the "Identity" contest.

According to the Organizing Committee, the contest is an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to continue writing the glorious story of the nation in the language of the digital age. Through the use of digital media platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the contest will contribute to strongly spreading Vietnamese cultural and spiritual values to the domestic and international communities.

The contest consists of two main parts to ensure diversity and attractiveness:

Vodcast "Identity Dialogue": Creative competition, encouraging contestants to produce short videos (vodcasts) sharing experiences, stories and unique perspectives on topics related to Vietnamese cultural identity. The Organizing Committee expects this to be a multi-dimensional forum, where traditional values are connected with contemporary culture.

"Understanding Identity" test: The test focuses on knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture, arts, tourism and people; and also mentions the outstanding achievements of the Cultural sector over the past 80 years, helping participants consolidate and expand their knowledge.

The contest takes place online on the website www.bansac.vn ; Time to receive vodcast works: from August 15 to August 25, 2025; Voting time for vodcast and knowledge test: from August 28 to September 6, 2025. The total prize value is 100,000,000 VND excluding gifts and artifacts.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Huu Ngoc said: "The contest is expected to become a powerful media highlight, arousing the love and spirit of learning about national culture on digital platforms. With the application of artificial intelligence, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring a modern, fair and objective cultural playground."
