Launching the Bao Son Award 2024, honoring scientific works

In order to honor outstanding scientific and highly applicable research projects and clusters in the fields of: Natural sciences, social sciences and humanities; Technology, engineering; Health sciences; Literature, arts... the 2024 Bao Son Award has officially launched.

In 2024, each field will consider awarding one outstanding research project, with a prize equivalent to $120,000. Each year the prize value increases by $10,000.

This is an award created by Bao Son Education and Training Support Fund and sponsored by Bao Son Group. Established in 2010, the award is considered for projects of sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction, projects of education reform and human resource training for the country, projects of sustainable socio-environmental economic development, projects of community health protection and literary and artistic works with profound educational value and wide influence.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Chairman of Bao Son Group, Chairman of Bao Son Foundation said: This year, the organizing committee has established the Award Council, which is made up of leading scientists, both inside and outside Vietnam. In addition to encouraging and promoting innovation and creativity in science, technology, engineering, arts and knowledge transfer, contributing to solving challenges, the award also accompanies researchers through a network of scientists, technologists and artists.

Professor, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Council of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, expressed his appreciation for the award and its value to society, creating a playground for Vietnamese scientists.

"In the field of engineering, the inspiration of the award has a great impact on scientists. We will introduce candidates and hope that scientists from the Polytechnic University will apply for this award this year," Professor Le Anh Tuan shared.

The time for receiving applications for the award is from August 15 to December 30, 2024. The awarding process will take place from January 5 to April 15 of the following year. In addition, scientists can also introduce outstanding works to the organizing committee for the award.
