On May 21, the program to announce the tour route "Vietnam-China Friendship Red Journey following President Ho Chi Minh's footsteps" officially took place in Hanoi .
This is an opportunity to re-enact important milestones in the revolutionary journey of the beloved leader who visited Guangxi many times in the process of finding a way to save the country, building a revolutionary movement and laying the foundation for the Vietnam-China friendship.
The historical tourism route following President Ho Chi Minh's footsteps not only contributesto educating the tradition of patriotism and fostering friendship between the people of the two countries, but also opens up a direction for sustainable development of cultural-historical tourism, associated with heritage and humanistic values.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi said that the "Vietnam-China Red Journey of Friendship in Guangxi following in the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh " is a specific activity to inherit the tradition of friendship and enhance people-to-people exchange.

“China values friendly relations with neighboring countries and believes that only by maintaining peace and stability in the region can countries develop and move forward. China and Vietnam are two countries that are ‘connected by mountains and rivers’ and are a Community of Shared Future, so we attach great importance to our relations with Vietnam,” said Mr. Ha Vi.
According to the Chinese Ambassador, Guangxi is a land that not only stands out for its beautiful natural landscapes and rich folk culture, but is also a "red address" bearing many imprints of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities.
The Ambassador said that the Chinese people sincerely welcome the Vietnamese people to Guangxi to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and rivers, experience the depth of culture and reminisce about the historical journey following in Uncle Ho's footsteps. He hoped that Guangxi and the ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam would continue to develop their potential and promote deeper and broader cooperation.
“The Red Journey following in the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh is an initiative to realize the will of cooperation and friendship of the leaders of the two sides, deepening the feelings of the people of the two countries,” the Ambassador affirmed.

On the Vietnamese side, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam) said that China is Vietnam's leading international market, with nearly 1.95 million visitors in the first 4 months of 2025. Vietnam is also a large market sending visitors to China. These numbers reflect the growing interest of people from both countries in exploring and experiencing each other's cultures.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa said that the “Vietnam-China Friendship Red Journey Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Footsteps” tour will become a new symbol of Vietnam-China historical and cultural tourism and friendship. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to accompany and create conditions for people of the two countries to enhance exchanges, connections, experience the beauty of culture and nature, and promote sustainable development of cultural and historical tourism between Vietnam and China.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year 2025, in response to the International Tea Day (May 21), the Organizing Committee also brought the event "World Harmonious Tea - Nha Tap 2025" to introduce the cultural and tourism resources of Guangxi, the unique features in jasmine tea culture of Hoanh Chau city - one of the typical localities in developing tourism associated with traditional culture.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission and Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, emphasized the multifaceted relationship between the two countries, especially the cultural similarities.
Tea is one of the common symbols of Eastern civilization and also a "green messenger" in the friendly exchange between Vietnam and China. Both countries have a tradition of drinking and enjoying tea, and the people of the two countries use tea as a cultural and spiritual bridge. The gathering over a cup of tea represents the philosophy of harmony, nobility and the attachment between people and nature./.
