On the morning of May 17th, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Science and Technology Admissions Fair - 2026 took place at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
In his opening remarks, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed that Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation not only opens up strategic directions for the country's development in the new era but also conveys an important message about the role of knowledge, technology, and people in Vietnam's future.

"Resolution 57 is also a powerful call to action for Vietnamese intellectuals, scientists, and the younger generation – those who will directly contribute to building national competitiveness and position in the future," journalist Phung Cong Suong emphasized.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong asserted that the world is rapidly changing under the impact of artificial intelligence, big data, semiconductor technology, biotechnology, and digital transformation. In this context, a nation's advantage is no longer measured solely by resources or population size, but increasingly depends on its scientific, technological, and innovative capabilities.
As the central organ of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Tien Phong newspaper always aims to bring science and technology closer to students, not only through information but also through practical experiences, creative inspiration, and meaningful academic networking spaces.
The Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper cited that recently, at the National Innovation Center, the Final Round of the National STEM, AI, and Robotics Championship for the 2025-2026 academic year, jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Tien Phong newspaper , the National Innovation Center, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, attracted thousands of students nationwide.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong emphasized the special significance of the event being held at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day, May 18th.
"The most meaningful thing the students received was not just admissions information, but also the opportunity to directly listen to scientists, experts, and lecturers; to access a research and creative environment; and to gain a clearer understanding of their career path and future," the journalist said.

According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, after the event, some students may decide to pursue a new field of study; some may feel for the first time that science and technology are not at all distant. And it is also possible that, from this event, the first scientific aspirations will be awakened.
"We hope that the Science and Technology Admissions Fair will be a place to spread inspiration, instill confidence and motivation in students so they can confidently choose their future paths," journalist Phung Cong Suong shared.
The Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper emphasized that the presence of delegates, teachers, and parents at the program is a meaningful form of support and encouragement for students during this crucial stage of their lives, when each choice made today can open up an entire future ahead.
