According to information presented at the online conference summarizing the work of COVID-19 prevention and control with localities, organized by the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the morning of October 29th, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, representing the Security and Order Subcommittee, stated that during the fourth wave of the pandemic alone, the People's Public Security force mobilized over 3.3 million officers and soldiers as the core force coordinating with other agencies and functional forces in controlling and preventing the COVID-19 epidemic.
Establishing 10,300 quarantine checkpoints and field hospitals with over 560,000 officers and soldiers participating in contact tracing and containment to prevent and control the epidemic; mobilizing thousands of Ministry reconnaissance personnel to the grassroots level.
11,603 officers and soldiers from units under the Ministry were mobilized to strengthen security and order maintenance and epidemic prevention efforts in local areas.
1,216 police medical officers participated in providing support for epidemic prevention and control efforts in localities, and also proactively sought out, identified, approached, and assisted in negotiations with partners in the production of vaccines, treatments, and medical supplies for epidemic prevention and control.

Focus on verifying the capacity of organizations and individuals to provide vaccine aid, thereby making a positive contribution to vaccine diplomacy and international cooperation in epidemic prevention and control. During the course of participating in epidemic prevention and control efforts, over 6,000 officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Force contracted Covid-19, and 11 officers died from Covid-19, including 6 who sacrificed their lives while on duty in epidemic prevention and control.
Maintaining political and social stability, ensuring security and order to serve socio-economic development, and guaranteeing the safety and happiness of the people.
Police forces at all levels have proactively monitored, assessed, and accurately predicted the situation related to the four waves of the epidemic in their work of disease prevention and control, and ensuring security and order during the epidemic prevention and control efforts.
The focus is on identifying difficulties, shortcomings, and loopholes in the implementation of disease prevention and control policies and social welfare packages. It also involves understanding the schemes and activities of reactionary forces exploiting disease prevention and control efforts to oppose the Party and the State, incite protests, and disrupt security and order in various areas.
Through this process, nearly 600 reports were submitted to the Party, the State, and the National Steering Committee on policies and solutions for epidemic prevention and control, and nearly 800 cases of large gatherings related to epidemic prevention and control were detected, handled, and recommendations were provided for handling.
Authorities attacked and disabled tens of thousands of accounts and posts containing malicious propaganda on the internet, distorting the Party and State's policies and efforts in epidemic prevention and control.
Administrative penalties have been imposed on over 550 individuals for posting false information about epidemic prevention and control efforts. 1,295 cases involving 3,232 individuals violating immigration regulations were detected and processed, and 459,368 cases of violations of epidemic prevention and control regulations were penalized.
In fulfilling their assigned responsibilities, the police force proactively coordinated and detected and handled 365 cases involving 413 individuals who exploited the disease prevention and control policies to commit acts such as: hoarding and inflating the prices of essential goods used for disease prevention and control; smuggling, manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods; and corruption and profiteering in the use of disease prevention and control funds.
Police at all levels have initiated legal proceedings in 37 cases involving 104 defendants, and imposed administrative penalties in 220 cases involving 222 individuals, totaling nearly 3 billion VND.
Focus on investigating and strictly handling acts of exploiting disease prevention and control policies for corruption and negative practices, especially focusing on directing the effective implementation of cases directed by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, such as the Viet A case.

In addition, Mr. Le Van Tuyen stated that the Ministry has deployed the National Population Database platform for vaccination, health declaration, and vaccine passports; and has proactively and promptly implemented the application of four utility software applications integrated into the Citizen Identity Card to connect and authenticate with the National Population Database to serve disease prevention and control efforts.
In coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Information and Communications, we will use QR codes for the PC-COVID software system to connect citizen information and link the vaccination database with the national population database.
In coordination with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Social Security Administration is implementing and cleaning up population data to serve disease prevention and control efforts, and deploying technical measures to trace epidemiological factors through information technology .
