Dai Lai Tourist Area - Attractive destination for tourists

The yacht of the Dai Lai Tourist Area Management Board under Phuc Yen City glided on the vast blue waves of Dai Lai Lake, taking us to Bird Island in the middle of the lake, nearly 5 hectares wide; the trees are green all year round, an ideal place for more than 100 species of birds to live, creating a romantic and magical space.

Head of Dai Lai Tourist Area Management Board Nguyen Thanh Quang said: “Dai Lai Tourist Area (Phuc Yen) has a scale of more than 10 km2 including 4 peninsulas, 2 large islands, 10 forests, 5 hills; Dai Lai Lake is more than 500 hectares wide, containing more than 5 million m3; the lake was built in 1959 to serve agricultural production.

Dai Lai Lake is located in Ngoc Thanh commune and Dong Xuan ward of Phuc Yen town, about 50 km north of Hanoi. Due to the terrain structure between green forests and natural valleys, a very unique microclimate has been formed that few places have, cool in the summer but the temperature does not drop too low in the winter, because it is protected by Tam Dao range and Cot Co, Mo Qua, Than Lan mountains... This temperature creates favorable conditions for tourists to have a very suitable relaxing weekend vacation.

Realizing the advantages of Dai Lai Lake early, Phuc Yen province and city have proposed mechanisms and policies to attract investors to invest in infrastructure, build restaurants, hotels; entertainment areas; and eco-tourism resorts from high-end to low-end.

In addition to the Flamingo Dai Lai Resort, the Northern tourist cluster has nearly 20 hotels and restaurants with more than 300 rooms. In recent years, this tourist area has welcomed 200-250 thousand visitors each year for entertainment and relaxation, creating jobs for nearly 700 workers with an average income of 5-7 million VND/person/month.

The People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province has approved the detailed planning at a scale of 1/2,000 for the afforestation project combined with a high-class eco-tourism area in Ngoc Thanh, Cao Minh communes and Xuan Hoa ward. The total planning area is more than 208 hectares, stretching along the Than Lan mountain range.

The project includes afforestation, high-end tourism and entertainment service area, garden house - villa area on the mountain; green park area combined with public services - entertainment associated with urban residential area. Dai Lai tourist area will combine with industrial zones such as Quang Minh, Noi Bai, Thang Long, and Me Linh, Quang Minh urban areas... to form a highly developed urban - industrial - tourism chain in the North of the Capital.

With efforts to build a bustling tourist area, in recent years, the city has allocated a budget to invest in infrastructure, beaches, green parks, corridors along the lake, flower gardens, wharves... for tourists to check-in..., coordinating with the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center to set up a counter to provide tourism information on the occasion of Dai Lai; the Environment and Urban Company handles the environment to ensure regular cleaning to create a green - clean - beautiful environment; as well as maintain security and order to be ready to welcome tourists to the 2024 Summer vacation.
