The forest is less than 30 kilometers from the center of Nha Trang. From Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, heading from Nha Trang towards Cam Ranh International Airport, at the intersection near Cam Lam Fishing Village restaurant, turn right and after about a kilometer you will find a natural melaleuca forest next to a crystal-clear pond. The entrance to the forest has been cleared by locals and frequented by tourists, creating beautiful, mysterious trails. Ferns climb throughout the melaleuca forest, forming lush green towers of leaves. The melaleuca trees grow in dense clusters, so the fern towers extend one after another, forming a continuous, undulating forest. Occasionally, paths appear, with ferns interwoven into archways, creating a very interesting sight. In the forest, there are many clusters of melaleuca trees with charred or bare branches, or those that are gnarled or curved, casting a charcoal black color against the vibrant green of the ferns, creating beautiful and unusual scenes.

The best time to visit the forest is around 7-8 a.m., when the sun has just risen above the trees, creating a brilliant halo of light on the melaleuca trees, casting beams of light through the fern canopy, and shimmering shadows on the damp ground. Sometimes, the streams winding through the decaying grass reflect the sunlight from above, creating shimmering patches of light that are breathtakingly beautiful.
We arrived at the Cam Lam fairytale forest after the previous day's heavy rain. It was already autumn, but the sun was still shining brightly. Dew still clung to the leaves, and raindrops from the night before hung on the fern fronds, sparkling and pristine. The weather was beautiful, and it was the weekend, so many families and young people came here to take artistic photos. Walking slowly through the lush green garden, each person felt like they were being given "a ticket to childhood." There, everyone seemed to slow down, enjoying each innocent moment, breathing in the fresh air, admiring the verdant fern forest, and savoring the coffee they had brought along – the aroma of coffee mingling with the scent of the forest was indescribable.
On the way back, passing by a pond as clear as a giant mirror, I suddenly saw clumps of white and red water lilies with their petals open, radiant in the autumn sun. I instinctively looked back, silently vowing to return to this fairytale forest many more times, to return to its innocent, pristine beauty…
