Since early this morning, June 3rd, following the announcement allowing automatic renewal of vehicle inspections for private cars with fewer than 9 seats, many people have accessed the website of the Vietnam Registering Agency to register, causing the system to become overloaded.
Due to high traffic, the website of the Vietnam Register was overloaded this morning, June 3rd.
Mr. Chuong ( Hanoi ) said he tried accessing the website ttdk.com.vn several times this morning but couldn't. "My car was manufactured in 2013 and just passed its inspection in January 2023. I don't know if I'm eligible for an automatic inspection renewal," Mr. Chuong wondered. Many other car owners are also concerned about whether their vehicles are eligible for automatic inspection renewal.
According to a representative of the Vietnam Register, due to a sudden surge in the number of visitors to the Register's website in recent days, the homepage has become overloaded. To check information on renewing inspection certificates, vehicle owners are advised to directly access the website at https://giahanxcg.vr.org.vn
Currently, the website for checking the validity period of inspection certificates and stickers contains information on all vehicles whose certificates have been renewed according to regulations. However, because creating digitally signed files of the inspection certificate expiration dates for these vehicles takes a long time, they are not yet available for all vehicles at this time.
Therefore, the Vietnam Registering and Inspection Department prioritizes creating paper confirmation files for vehicles with the most recent inspection expiration dates. On June 3rd, files for vehicles with inspection expiration dates between June 3rd and 10th will be available for download. Vehicles with inspection expiration dates up to June 30th will be uploaded to the system before June 10th so that vehicle owners can register and download their inspection certificates and stickers.
The Vietnam Registering and Inspection Department is expected to complete the task of creating information for all vehicles (over 1.9 million vehicles) before June 30th.
Last night, June 2nd, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 08/2023/TT-BGTVT (effective from June 3rd). According to Circular 08, the inspection cycle for more than 1.9 million motor vehicles will be extended.
Specifically, a six-month extension will be applied to vehicles under 7 years old and over 13 years old. Vehicles with inspection deadlines after June 3rd will be automatically registered for renewal. Vehicle owners can register on the Vietnam Registering Authority's website to obtain and print the inspection certificate and sticker.
Residents should note that the management software system will be updated gradually in the order of vehicles due for inspection. Specifically, it is expected that on the first day, the system will update vehicles due for inspection up to approximately June 10th.
Drivers queue overnight for vehicle inspection, frustrated that they only move a hundred meters all day.
The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Access the website of the Vietnam Registering Authority. Go to http://www.vr.org.vn/, then to the "Check for calibration renewal" section, and the following webpage will appear: https://giahanxcg.vr.org.vn
However, to avoid overload, the Vietnam Register recommends that vehicle owners access the website directly at https://giahanxcg.vr.org.vn
Step 2: Enter the following information: license plate number, inspection certificate serial number, verification code, then click the "search" button. If the issued certificate is eligible for renewal, the result will appear as shown on the following screen:
The vehicle owner clicks on the link containing the inspection confirmation to view and print the confirmation document for use while driving.
