The Bang Bien Phu Melaleuca Forest War Memorial Site and the Temple of Heroes and Martyrs of Vinh Thuan District were built to commemorate and honor thousands of heroes, martyrs, cadres, soldiers, and civilians who were tortured, buried alive, or sacrificed by the Ngo Dinh Diem regime on this very land.

This is a historically significant project aimed at preserving and promoting the value of revolutionary historical relics, educating about traditions, the history of tenacious and indomitable struggle, the will to overcome challenges, and the aspiration for peace and national unity.

Kien Giang Provincial Party Secretary Do Thanh Binh requested that relevant units and Vinh Thuan district ensure the inauguration ceremony of the project is successful and safe.
