Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and WWF visited the shrimp farming model in Chau Dien hamlet (Long Dien Dong A commune, Dong Hai district).
This is a model within the Project “Enhancing the resilience of agricultural ecosystems and local communities to climate change in coastal areas of Bac Lieu province”. The model is deployed on an area of 20 hectares of 18 households in hamlets 3, 4, Chau Dien and My Dien in Long Dien Dong A commune. After 2 farming seasons applying the project process, shrimp has little loss and grows well. According to households participating in the project, shrimp productivity has increased, profits have increased, and people's livelihoods have been improved.
Currently, farmers in the model are provided with rice seeds. When the shrimp harvest is complete, they will renovate the pond and plant rice on the shrimp land...
