Usain Bolt holds a host of world records, but one of the Olympic legend's lesser-known achievements could be set to be broken in the near future.

Bolt's record in the 150m could be broken.

Bolt is the fastest man on the planet with world records in the 100m and 200m. At the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, Bolt clocked an incredible 9.58 seconds in the 100m. At that same tournament, Bolt easily conquered the 200m distance with a record of 19.19 seconds. To date, no one has been able to overthrow his dominant position.

Bolt also competed in the 150m in Manchester at the 2009 Great City Games, ahead of the World Athletics Championships. On a street-based track, Bolt set a new world record of 14.35 seconds, beating the previous record of 14.97 seconds set by British sprint legend Linford Christie.

Bolt's record has not been broken. However, last year, Noah Lyles clocked a time of 14.41 seconds, just 0.06 seconds behind the Jamaican legend. This is the second fastest time ever recorded for the 150m, tied with Tyson Gay, Bolt's one-time rival.

According to British media, the impressive 150m record of the "Jamaican Lightning" is facing a challenge at the Atlanta City Games tournament taking place next week.

The American sprinter is the Olympic 100m champion. Lyles has consistently improved his time in the 150m. Lyles will face Zharnel Hughes, Alexander Ogando and Ferdinand Omanyala on May 17.

Lyles' name is often mentioned alongside Bolt's, and the Jamaican Lightning himself has been asked whether the 27-year-old could be his successor. However, Bolt has openly admitted that his compatriot Oblique Seville is the one who has the potential to break his world record.
