In the document Adjusting the land use planning to 2030, Lai Chau City is built on the basis of inheriting the results of the land use planning for the period 2021 - 2030 and the land use plan for 2021, 2022, 2023 of Lai Chau City. In which, the general development planning of sectors, communes and wards must ensure to fully meet the land demand for the development of sectors and fields.
Accordingly, from 2022, the total natural area of Lai Chau City is 9,687.99 hectares. Including the land area in use of 8,263.64 hectares, the area not yet put into use of 1,424.35 hectares. Of which, agricultural land is 7,027.58 hectares, non-agricultural land is 1,236.06 hectares; unused land is 1,424.35 hectares.
The area of unused land put into use in the planning adjustment period to 2030 is 1,244.96 ha. Of which, the area of unused land put into use for agricultural purposes is 1,149.62 ha; the area of unused land put into use for non-agricultural purposes is 95.34 ha.
The draft plan to adjust the land use planning to 2030 of Lai Chau City is: the total natural area is 9,687.99 hectares. Of which, agricultural land is 7,222.64 hectares, non-agricultural land is 2,285.96 hectares, accounting for 23.60% of the total natural land area and unused land is 179.39 hectares, accounting for 1.85% of the total natural land area.
Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Ha Thi Phu, Chairwoman of the Lai Chau City Fatherland Front Committee, emphasized that the plan to adjust the city's land use planning for the period from now to 2030 is of great significance in realizing the goals of economic and social development, political stability, national defense and security, and environmental protection. At the same time, it is an important tool for communes and wards in the city to carry out state management of land according to the law. From there, it creates the premise and motivation to attract investment for development, create jobs, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
