No one was injured, but the facade of Yeshiva Gedola school in Montreal was hit by gunfire. Bullet holes and shell casings were found after residents heard gunshots early Sunday morning, CBC News in Canada reported.

Local media reported that two other schools in Montreal both reported finding a bullet hole in their front doors on Thursday morning. It is unclear whether the incidents are related.
But on Wednesday, violence at Concordia University between supporters of opposing factions in the Israeli conflict and Hamas resulted in injuries and one arrest, according to CBC News.
Mayer Feig, a member of the Hasidic Jewish Council of Quebec, said the shootings at the schools were intended to intimidate Jews in the city, the news agency reported earlier.
In Toronto, police reported that hate crimes against Jews and Muslims in the three weeks following Hamas's initial attack on October 7th more than doubled the number for all of 2022.
In another development, thousands of protesters joined lawmakers in Paris on Sunday to condemn the escalating anti-Semitic actions in France amid the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
According to the French authorities, the protest, called for by the leaders of both houses of the French parliament , was spurred by the increasing number of anti-Semitic incidents over the past several weeks.
Police estimate that 105,000 people participated in Sunday's march.
President Emmanuel Macron, who decided not to attend, faced criticism from some politicians . However, he published an open letter supporting the march and condemning "the unbridled rise of antisemitism."
Anti-Semitism protests also took place in other French cities on Sunday, including in Marseille, where police estimated that around 7,000 people took to the streets.
