On the morning of August 22, Ben Thanh Ward Party Committee held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.

Notably, the ward will research and develop a project to propose to Ho Chi Minh City to have a policy and direction to consolidate and expand Bui Vien walking street, renovate and upgrade Ben Thanh market, Thai Binh market, and at the same time develop other business areas and routes.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - said that Ben Thanh ward is the central ward, the "heart" of Ho Chi Minh City, a place where historical, cultural, political and economic values ​​converge.

Mr. Thong suggested that Ben Thanh ward promote its central advantages to develop the economy, night economy, high-end trade and services, cultural tourism associated with digital economic development.

The ward needs to soon shape a new development space, synchronously exploit economic and social infrastructure, high-quality human resources, trade - service and tourism potential.

"The goal is to build Ben Thanh into a brand that spreads domestically and internationally, and everyone wants to come," said Mr. Thong.

Mr. Thong suggested focusing on infrastructure renovation, striving to have no more dilapidated apartments.

The ward needs to propose a complete resolution of unfinished construction projects, especially those at Ben Thanh quadrangle, to put them into operation soon, develop trade and services, and avoid waste.

Ms. Hoang Thi To Nga holds the position of Party Secretary and Chairwoman of Ben Thanh Ward People's Council. Before the administrative unit was reorganized, Ms. Nga was the Standing Deputy Secretary of District 1 Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Duc holds the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ben Thanh Ward Party Committee.

Ms. Mai Thi Hong Hoa holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Thanh Ward.
