Lam Dong: Eye drops recalled due to substandard quality.

On May 15th, the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health announced that it had notified medical facilities, drug businesses, and local authorities throughout the province about the recall of a batch of substandard 0.9% sodium chloride eye drops.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health , all establishments are to cease trading, supplying, dispensing, prescribing, and selling the batch of 0.9% Sodium Chloride, batch number 10370725, manufactured on July 14, 2025, and expiring on January 14, 2028, produced by Pharmedic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company. Units are required to recall the product, return it to the distributor, and submit a recall report to the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health before May 29 (if applicable).

Previously, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) issued a decision to recall the drug Sodium Chloride 0.9% (registration number: 893100060724), batch number 10370725, manufactured on July 14, 2025, expiry date January 14, 2028, produced by Pharmedic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company. The recalled drug failed to meet quality standards regarding clarity (level 3 violation).

The Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health also assigned the Inspection and Legal Affairs Division to coordinate with relevant functional agencies to strengthen inspection of wholesale and retail drug establishments in the province, strictly handle violations within their authority, or transfer cases to relevant agencies for handling according to the law.
