On the evening of October 14th, rapper OSAD held a launch event for his debut album, titled O_O, in Ho Chi Minh City. He performed 10 new songs from the album on stage. Notably, producer onionn. made a rare appearance as a rapper in some of the performances.
The event featured guests including: My My, Will, Phao, Lyhan, GiGi Huong Giang, Emma, Hoang Ton, Do Hoang Duong...

OSAD was asked about the pressure of collaborating with a producer who had previously achieved success with big names like Son Tung M-TP and MONO. OSAD replied: "When working with onionn., I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't know much about his personality, preferences, or musical perspective. But my hesitation wasn't because I was afraid of onionn. having collaborated with many big names before."
OSAD believes that each person is a unique individual, with different characteristics, personalities, and abilities. He is confident in what he has and believes that these are his very own.

"When people listen to the 15 songs on this album, will they be reminded of someone else, or will they see it as OSAD's signature style?" - he asked the audience in return.
Producer onionn. added: "Not only with OSAD's album but also with other artists' projects, each collaboration is a completely new experience, unlike any project I've ever worked on before."
OSAD: 'I'm just an ordinary person, nothing special.'
With the album title O_O (pronounced O shift minus O), OSAD evokes memories of the 90s generation when using "O_O" to express surprise in chat applications. At the same time, the two "O"s are also the first letters of his stage name OSAD and onionn.
The album has 15 songs. The first half portrays a mischievous, humorous, and carefree young man. The second half offers reflections on life. The songs include: "The Simmering Person," "Visiting Relatives," "Getting on the Train," "Advertising Program," "People Say" (feat. My My), "Playing" (feat. Hanh), " Doing" (feat. Hanh), " Letting Go" (feat. Hanh)... "Hanh" is how OSAD refers to onion.

The album features a diverse range of musical genres, from house, hip hop, and EDM to vinahouse and Vietnamese folk music, combining modern, trendy sounds with traditional instruments.
OSAD confided: "I know many people don't appreciate me and don't see me as anything special. Both onionn. and I see ourselves as very ordinary, nothing special. I wanted to make this album to prove that extraordinary things can be created by ordinary people."
Having started his artistic career in 2018 with the hit song "Nguoi Am Phu" (Underworld Man) , OSAD finally released his debut album after 7 years. He said that he used to feel pressured and anxious, afraid of other people's comments. This is what made his music feel constrained and limited.

The album O_O was a gamble for OSAD to step out of his comfort zone. "This time, I think I'm tired of being safe with everything," he said.
In the past, there have been times when his music didn't turn out as he hoped. But after each failure, he wanted to take a bigger gamble. He poured everything into this album—effort, time, and money.
