The Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 with the theme "Glorious Galaxy" will open on the evening of July 13 at April 2 Square, Nha Trang city.
This is a competition of artistic light performances using drones. The event is expected to create an explosive event during the summer tourist season of the province, spreading the brand and image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to the world .

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism , the Festival with the theme "Brilliant Galaxy" has the participation of 4 teams from the following countries: Korea, France, China, UAE with 2 nights of performance.
Coming to the festival, all 4 teams will bring their strongest force. Regarding equipment, the teams will use at least 1,000 drones with the latest performance technology to show the beauty of nature, culture, people of Khanh Hoa present and future, and famous wonders of the world.
In particular, at this festival, the Korean team will bring a pyrotechnic drone performance. This is the first time this performance has appeared in Southeast Asia, promising to bring many surprises to the audience. The artistic light images in the night sky combined with modern music performances on stage will create a vivid and attractive overall picture that will satisfy the audience.
In addition, each team will have from 5 to 18 international experts participating in the performance, along with hundreds of Vietnamese staff and experts supporting the program this time.
The opening ceremony and the first competition night with the theme “Nha Trang Shines – Glamour Nha Trang” were held at 2/4 Square, Nha Trang City on the evening of July 13, between the two teams of Korea and China.
Also in this performance night, singers Tung Duong, Dong Hung, Phuong Ly… with many different musical styles will bring unique artistic performances on stage, showing a beautiful, dynamic Vietnam that always welcomes friends from all over the world.
The second competition night and closing ceremony with the theme “Night of the wonders” took place on Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City on the evening of July 20, between the two teams France and UAE.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said that many countries in the world have successfully organized Light Festivals, thereby attracting millions of visitors from all over the world to admire the vivid 2D images created by drones, such as the Vivid Sydney Light Festival in Australia, the Fête des Lumieres Festival in France...
However, no country in the world has organized a drone light show competition, especially when it gathers a huge number of drones up to about 8,000 like the Nha Trang Bay Light Festival 2024.
