For the first time, Thạnh An island commune welcomes teacher training students for internship.

The signing ceremony for the teaching practice agreement for students in Thanh An island commune took place on the morning of February 24th between the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Can Gio District, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

Worried to the point of losing sleep, I'll try my best to make an impression.

As the only male student in the group, Cung Thien Bao (primary education major) said this was his first time in Thanh An. He was so nervous that he almost stayed up all night.

Bao said he wasn't afraid of the lack of resources or the hard work at his upcoming internship. His worry stemmed from his desire to have enough space and time to create the most interesting and effective lessons possible.

"But I will try my best to make an impression and leave as many lasting memories as possible for both the students and the people here," Thien Bao said with a smile.

After four years of honing her knowledge and pedagogical skills, including internships and tutoring, Nguyen Ngoc Diem Tuyen (a primary education major) has become quite mature. Before returning to Thanh An, she said she was very excited but also quite nervous.

Tuyen said she "prepared a lot of things" for this special internship, including programs, experiential activities, curricula, and advanced teaching methods.

Tuyen was worried that the internship period was too short, fearing that the students wouldn't have enough time to familiarize themselves with the learning methods and experiential activities she had designed for the internship.

"I hope and expect to bring a fresh perspective to teaching and learning methods for students here," Tuyen expressed.

Nurturing the seeds of affection and connection.

Ms. Tran Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association in Ho Chi Minh City, called this teaching practice period an extremely meaningful activity.

Because Thanh An is the only island commune of Ho Chi Minh City, schools still face certain difficulties in finding teachers who meet the requirements and tasks of education and training.

Notably, the team was formed not only from the school's plan but also based on an agreement signed between the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association and the school with the People's Committee of Can Gio District.

"This is a valuable opportunity, and I hope you will take advantage of it to participate in activities with other youth union members and connect with the local people. From there, you can nurture the seeds of compassion within your own hearts," Ms. Ha said.

Speaking about this internship team, Professor Huynh Van Son - the school's principal - said that in addition to the 10 student interns, two lecturers will accompany them. These lecturers and faculty leaders are highly dedicated to educational practice and will provide support throughout the internship.

"I hope the students will have enjoyable working days, accumulating valuable lessons about human kindness and the determination to develop Can Gio."

"I'm sure you will change not only your perceptions but also your attitudes and abilities on this journey of making written words come alive," Mr. Son said.

Lecturer Nguyen Viet Khoa (Department of Primary Education) led the team responsible for providing professional and technical support to student interns at Thanh An Primary School.

Lecturer Pham Phuoc Manh (Department of Early Childhood Education) is responsible for providing professional and technical support to student interns at Thanh An Kindergarten.

The students interning in the primary education department include: Thien Bao, Minh Hau, Anh Nguyet, Nhu Quynh, Cam Quynh, Phuong Trinh, and Diem Tuyen.

The early childhood education students are three: Thúy Diễm, Bích Trâm, and Diễm Quỳnh.
