Journalist Pham Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Chairman of the VOV Journalists' Association: " Understanding change is key to better meeting public needs."

The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has identified this as one of its key activities for 2024. VOV's booth is designed to showcase the historical traditions of the Voice of Vietnam – an organization honored with the title of Hero during the resistance war and Hero during the đổi mới (renovation) period, along with other prestigious awards.

Furthermore, VOV also promotes the station's digital transformation process and digital ecosystem so that the public can follow VOV's information on various platforms such as VTC Now and VOVlive.

The 2024 National Press Conference, organized this year, brought a different atmosphere (Figure 1).

Each year at the Press Festival, VOV presents a new image of the Voice of Vietnam. This year, singers from the Voice of Vietnam Theatre who have recently been awarded the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist will also be present to interact with and perform directly for the public.

In the future, we are always striving for innovation and taking appropriate steps towards digital transformation. Currently, we have developed in a multi-platform, multi-lingual direction, offering many foreign languages and the languages of many ethnic minority groups.

We aim to develop digital technology platforms to deliver content across new platforms to reach the public, understanding changing public needs to better meet them. Simultaneously, we focus on restructuring our workforce, ensuring that our personnel are adaptable to these new platforms.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Chi Nghia - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education : "The Press Festival is truly a meaningful activity that is eagerly awaited and widely disseminated."

Held for the first time in the South, this event created a completely different atmosphere compared to previous years, giving Southern journalists the opportunity to meet their Northern colleagues. It was a special reunion.

It can be said that the vitality of journalism and the Press Festival has always been spread through many meaningful activities. Throughout various periods, the Press Festival has truly been a meaningful event that is eagerly awaited and widely disseminated, not only within the journalistic community but also among the general public who love journalism nationwide.

The 2024 National Press Conference, organized in 2024, brought a different atmosphere (Figure 2).

Currently, journalism is facing several challenges: the challenge of preserving its core values, the challenge of making journalism economically viable within a new operating mechanism, and the challenge of renewing the journalistic workforce in the face of rapid technological changes and the increasing demands of the public.

We have been monitoring and working with many media outlets, and we understand the difficulties they face. However, these media organizations have their own ways of maintaining their identity, upholding their principles and objectives, and preserving their spirit of serving the country and its people.

Journalist Dan Ha - Representative Office of Cong Ly Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City: The hot weather doesn't diminish the joy and excitement.

This is the first time the National Press Conference has been held in Ho Chi Minh City, and not just me, but all journalists in Ho Chi Minh City share the same feelings of excitement, anticipation, and joy.

This is a professional gathering where colleagues and media professionals from various agencies can share and disseminate what they have accomplished and implemented over the past year. It's presented to readers in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country. Journalists in Ho Chi Minh City have the opportunity to spread the mission of journalism they have been and are currently pursuing to the public.

This year, the event was held on a single route, ensuring smooth traffic flow for residents. Despite the prolonged hot weather in Ho Chi Minh City, none of these factors diminished the joy and excitement of journalists in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the country in general.

Journalist Nguyen Thanh Diep - Chief of the Office of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association: "The Press Conference was organized and implemented scientifically, systematically, and impressively."

This year's Press Festival boasts the most impressive scale and organization ever. The exhibition areas are scientifically and impressively designed, attracting significant public attention. Alongside this are unique cultural and artistic programs, the awarding of Spring Journalism Prizes, and the Journalists & Public Opinion Cup football tournament. Notably, this year's Press Festival features 64 booths showcasing OCOP (One Commune One Product) products from 50 provinces and centrally-governed cities, demonstrating the appeal and role of media and journalism in promoting the regional economy.

The Emulation Cluster of the Journalists' Association of 6 provinces in the northern Central region, including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue, displayed more than 500 journalistic publications. These included all publications from the press agencies of the provinces, as well as selected magazine publications, mostly Spring editions.

The message we want to convey is that the press in the northern part of Central Vietnam is integrating and developing. In addition to that tradition of solidarity, we also showcase the development of media organizations as they apply digital technology to their operations.

We have prepared QR codes so that visitors to the exhibition can look up and access the Spring Festival newspaper publications of all media outlets in the northern part of Central Vietnam on a web platform.
