According to the People's Committee of Phu Bai Ward, after merging from 4 administrative units including: the old Phu Bai Ward and the communes of Thuy Phu, Phu Son, Duong Hoa, Phu Bai Ward now has many advantages but also faces many difficulties and obstacles in the work of developing urban infrastructure.

Specifically, after the merger, Phu Bai ward is an area with great potential for economic development, traffic infrastructure connected by National Highway (QL) 1A, Provincial Road (TL) 15, TL7 and asphalted and concreted rural and urban roads. Strategic geographical location about 7km southeast of the city center, in addition to QL 1A, there is also the North - South Expressway passing through, Phu Bai International Airport, industrial parks..., advantages for economic development, shifting economic structure towards industry - trade - services - agriculture.

Mr. Le Ba Minh Hai, Chairman of Phu Bai Ward People's Committee, said that the ward determined to take advantage of resources and development opportunities from neighboring areas, especially industrial development, logistics services... in the old Thuy Phu commune; many favorable areas calling for investment in high-tech agricultural zones, concentrated farms in the old Phu Son commune; with available natural resources and local culture, developing experiential tourism services, "return to the source" tourism, eco-tourism... in the old Duong Hoa commune. In addition, population growth promotes the need for infrastructure development, with favorable geographical location, population concentration creating motivation to promote investment and development of urban infrastructure, serving the need to build basic technical and social infrastructure works. However, the development of urban infrastructure, creating momentum for socio-economic development in the locality also faces difficulties such as old and unsynchronized infrastructure, lack of financial resources.

To overcome and resolve the above difficulties, Phu Bai ward has proposed solutions to increase investment from the budget and mobilize resources from organizations and individuals participating in infrastructure development investment, aid sources, and socialization to mobilize resources in urban development. Implementing a synchronous and reasonable urban development plan, the plan will focus on sustainable development, environmental protection and resource saving, while combining with the socio-economic development plans of the area. Especially based on the actual situation of the regions to develop appropriate economic types. At the same time, Phu Bai promotes the development of transport infrastructure and connects with neighboring areas to improve and upgrade the transport system, helping to strongly develop the economy and trade.

Opportunities for economic development

Recently, the City People's Council has approved Resolution No. 73 on the Detailed Construction Planning Project (scale 1/2000) of the Southern People's Cemetery in Phu Bai Ward. This is a carefully prepared project to meet practical needs, while ensuring environmental factors and urban planning with an area of ​​about 100 hectares, with about 36,000 single burial graves, 19,000 sand burial graves, 6,500 cremation graves and cremation urns.

According to Mr. Le Ba Minh Hai, the resolution is of great significance to the locality in upgrading the regional infrastructure, contributing to beautifying and modernizing the ward's urban infrastructure; reducing the waste of space and helping urban planning develop more reasonably, reducing the dispersion of small cemeteries in the current residential area, making the living space of people more airy and cleaner. In addition, cemeteries can attract companies and businesses to provide accompanying services...

In terms of environment and landscape protection, the Project will ensure that the cemetery construction is scientifically organized and complies with environmental standards. This helps to minimize pollution and does not negatively affect air quality, water resources and public health. Factors such as trees, wastewater treatment, and public spaces in the cemetery will be invested in a systematic manner. In terms of building cultural and spiritual spaces, with scientific design, creating a quiet, solemn space that is consistent with the cultural and spiritual values ​​of Hue people. This can also be a tourist attraction, a place to connect the community and preserve traditional cultural values.

According to the People's Committee of Phu Bai Ward, the Project also helps make land management more convenient, and at the same time solves the shortage of land for burial purposes in residential areas, avoiding land encroachment and uncontrolled construction of spontaneous cemeteries...

The approval of the Project is an important decision for Phu Bai Ward.
